The ThinkCentral (TC) and Holt McDougal Online (HMO) applications offer new tools to support product (ISBN) activation, which eliminates the need to include this information in your data imports. While it is still possible to activate products using the import process, this is no longer the recommended option.
● To activate products within the TC and HMO platforms, which HMH strongly recommends, use the Simple File Format (SFF) template files or leave the Product/ISBN field empty in the TC or HMO import files. Then, you can allow teachers to complete product activation or allow administrators to activate products en masse.
● To activate products using the import process, the ISBN numbers must be included in the traditional TC and HMO import template files.
● Do not include products in the import template.
● Activate products using the tools within the applications (TC or HMO), by allowing:
– teachers to complete product activation
or
– administrators to activate products en masse
