Logging In and Out

All users of READ 180 Universal use the same page to log in (HMH Central); however, the launch page that appears after you enter your login credentials is different depending on your role and assigned permissions.

For example, an administrator or teacher can access Tech Central or Teacher Central. A student can access the READ 180 activities.

Contact your district or local administrator if you need user name and password credentials for an administrator or teacher role. Contact your teacher for help if you need student credentials.

District and school administrators can view and edit product settings and view data across the district and schools using HMH Tech Central.

To log in to HMH Tech Central:

1. From the HMH Central login page, enter your administrator user name and password and click SIGN IN. The HMH Central gateway appears.

2. From the HMH Central gateway, click HMH Tech Central. The HMH Tech Central home page appears.

To log out of HMH Tech Central:

1. Click the arrow next to your name at the top of the page. The drop-down menu appears.

2. Click Sign Out.

● HMH Leader Central

HMH Leader Central provides district and school administrators and curriculum leaders access to READ 180 Universal usage data to ensure the product is implemented correctly across districts and schools. As an administrator, you can view district-wide data, and drill-down to school, class, and student data using the District Snapshot.

To log in to HMH Leader Central:

1. From the HMH Central login page, enter your administrator user name and password and click SIGN IN. The HMH Central gateway appears.

2. From the HMH Central gateway, click HMH Leader Central. The HMH Leader Central District data snapshot appears.

To log out of HMH Leader Central:

1. Click the arrow next to your name at the top of the page. The drop-down menu appears.

2. Click Sign Out.

● HMH Tech Central

To log in to HMH Leader Central:

1. Type the URL supplied by your administrator in your browser.

2. Type your user name and password and click Sign In. The HMH Gateway page appears.

3. Click the HMH Teacher Central icon. The HMH Teacher Central page appears.

To log out of HMH Teacher Central:

1. Click the arrow next to your name at the top of the page. The drop-down menu appears.

2. Click Sign Out.

You can log in to READ 180 Universal using the HMH Central page on a student workstation. You need a user name and password to log in. See your teacher if you need user name and password credentials.

To log in to READ 180 Universal using HMH Central:

1. Open your workstation browser and launch HMH Central. The HMH Central page appears.

2. Type your user name and password in the corresponding fields and click SIGN IN. The Student Access page appears.

3. Click READ180. The HMH Student Central page appears.

To log out of READ 180 Universal:

➔ From the Welcome Back drop-down menu, click Sign Out.

Bookmarking the HMH Gateway

HMH Central users may bookmark their HMH Gateway page easily by using the Automatic Bookmark feature.

To bookmark the HMH Gateway page in Explorer or Firefox, click the Bookmark HMH Central button on the HMH Gateway login screen. To bookmark the HMH Gateway page in Chrome, Safari, or Microsoft Edge, select the Bookmark HMH Central button, then drag and drop the button to the bookmark bar in the browser.

Users may also drag and drop the Bookmark HMH Central button to their desktop to create a desktop bookmark.
