When you access the Student App, you advance the Segment Selector and choose a segment to work.
Note: On your first log in, you proceed to the Mindset Matters segment. With subsequent log ins, you advance to the Segment Selector.
1. Click a segment from the Segment Selector page. A preview page appears showing a summary of the segment and a link to a preview of the segment’s Anchor Video.
2. Click the video to open the Anchor Video or click Begin to start the segment.
You can work in the same segment for multiple levels. When you complete a segment for level, a badge appears for the segment on the Segment Selector.
On your initial log in to READ 180 and access of the Student App, you start with the Mindset Matters segment. Mindset Matters supports your understanding of the READ 180 program before you move to more challenging segments. Mindset Matters also introduces you to the READ 180 technology and understanding before advancing to other segments.
Once you complete Mindset Matters, you can choose any of the remaining 24 segments.
Note: There is no Writing Zone in Mindset Matters, and the segment contains one less Reading Zone strategy than the other segments.
