Context Task

In the Context Task, you read passages with some of the words missing and you fill in the missing words.

There are three passages in the Context Task activity: the Anchor Text, a Discrepancy Text, and a Stretch Text. The Stretch Text is slightly above your reading level. If you fill in all of the missing words in the Anchor Text, you can skip the discrepancy text and only need to complete the Stretch Text to complete the activity.

To complete the Context Task activities:

Click a blank space in the passage and click the correct word from a list to fill in the missing word.

1.    After you fill in all the blanks, click SUBMIT to see your results.

–      If one or more of the filled-in words are incorrect, your answers are cleared and you are prompted to try again.

–      If all the filled-in works are correct, GO ON appears.

2.    Click GO ON to proceed to the next passage or, if this is the last passage, proceed to the next activity.
