Locate ISBN Codes

"ISBN" refers to the 10- or 13-digit international standard book number, also known as the product code. If you want to include ISBN product codes in the ThinkCentral and Holt McDougal Online import template files, then you must obtain the codes as detailed below.

Note: Products can also be activated using the ThinkCentral and Holt McDougal Online platform tools. See About Product Activation for details.

Locate ISBN Codes in ThinkCentral

To locate and export your ISBN product codes in ThinkCentral:

1.    From ThinkCentral's top menu, click District and Schools, move to the District area, and then click View Available Products.

The View Available Products page appears.

2.    If necessary, filter the data using the Grade, School, Subject, and Language selections, and then click Find. The list of Available Products appears, including the ISBN code for each product.

Note: In the School list, the "District Only" selection may not include products that have been made available to selected schools.

3.    To export the available ISBN codes (product list), do the following:

a.    Click the Export button on the lower right corner of the page. A dialog box appears asking if you want to Open or Save the SubscriptionInfo zip file.

b.    Click Open, and then double-click the file to open it. The file opens in Microsoft Excel®.

c.    Sort the list to identify only the free-play products by clicking the Free Play column title.

d.    Copy the free play ISBN  product codes into the Products field (column U) of the ThinkCentral import file.

Locate ISBN Codes in Holt McDougal Online

To locate and export your ISBN product codes in Holt McDougal Online:

1.    From the Holt McDougal Online menu, click Districts, and then click Eligible Products.

The Eligible Products page appears.

2.    In the School Name list, select a school. The list of eligible products appears with the ISBN product code displayed in the first Product ID column.

3.    Copy the ISBN product codes into the ISBN field (column H) of the Holt McDougal Online classes.csv file.
