Set Up Roster: OneRoster CSV

–   The top row of each file (row 1) contains the headings for each column; this row must be retained exactly as is (quoted identifiers recommended) and not overwritten.

–   All eight OneRoster files must be included in the zipped import file, even if you only want the users file loaded. For files you are not using, include the file with the only header row populated.

–   Field names are in correct case format to align to the standard.

–   The completed file must contain the correct number of fields, and all fields must remain in the correct order.

–   Values for fields such as status and LastModified are not populated, as this is BULK roster support only per the standard.

The zipped file must include all of the CSV files and must be named according to the following rules:

Valid Values: alphanumeric (A–Z, a–z, 0–9), dashes ( - ), underscores ( _ )

Must not contain special characters (except dashes and underscores)

For SFTP site file submissions (automated imports), spaces are not allowed. (Import Management accepts zipped files with spaces, but the SFTP site does not.)

Note: All import files must be included in the zipped file; not all files need to be populated, but at least the header row must be included in the empty files.
