Set Default Test Preferences

You can change the default settings for test taking and reporting, results viewing, and text formatting.

To update Default Test Settings:

1.    Open Preferences.

2.    Click Default Test Settings.

3.    Make selections for the settings.

4.    Click Submit to save your changes or Cancel to exit without saving.

A. Test-Taking and Reporting  (See completed example)

1.    You can allow your students to reopen the test once they have started an unlimited number of times or up to 10 times. Select 1 if you generally want the tests to be taken in one sitting.

2.    Choose whether you want the multiple-choice questions to always appear in the same order or be randomized.

3.    If you allow students to submit their tests for scoring more than once, then you select how scoring is determined in the next question.

4.    If the students can submit tests for scoring more than once, select a default for scoring:

      First Try

      Highest Score

      Most Recent Score

      Average of Scores

 

B. Results Viewing  (See completed example)

1.    Select if the students will be allowed to see their test scores.

2.    If you select Yes, the scores will be available to students as soon as the scores are ready.

3.    Select if and when you usually want individual students to be able to view answers. After Due Date ensures that no one will see the answers until all students have completed the test.

 

C. Text Formatting  (See completed example)

1.    You can choose whether the students should generally be able to view the point value for each question or not.

2.    Several formats are available for letters or numbers to be used in multiple choice questions.

3.    Choose whether to show the interactive bubblesheet grids for numeric response questions.
