Update Your Account Information

You manage your account information on the Update Your Current Account Information page.

To update your account information:

1. Open the Update Your Current Account Information page by doing one of the following:

a. Update the name and email fields as necessary.

b. If you want to receive availability notifications, click Sign up for Platform Availability notifications and complete the Platform Availability form.

c. If you want to receive email notifications of website events, teaching tips, and product information, select the check box.

Note: The School Zip Code field cannot be edited without also changing the school. See Change or add your school for details.

d. If you want to change your password, type the new password, and then retype it.

Password Requirements (Example: Pa55w@rd)

○ Must be at least 8 characters

○ No spaces

○ Must contain at least one of the following:

– Uppercase letter (A—Z)

– Lowercase letter (a—z)

– Number (0—9)

– Special character (! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ - + = { } [ ] : ; " ' | \ < , > . ? / )

○ Click to view HMH's recommendation for the use of "passphrases."

e. Click Update Account Information.

Note: Only teachers can change their school. Administrators cannot update your school in Holt McDougal Online.

a. Type a zip code in the School Zip Code field.

b. Click the Update Zip Code/School button.

The School Update page appears listing the schools available in the zip code that you entered.

c. If your school is in the list, then do the following:

i. Select your school from the list.

ii. Click Update. A warning message appears.

iii. Click OK. If the update was successful, the Update Success message appears.

iv. Click Return to Update Account Information. The school is changed.

d. If your school is not listed, then do the following:

i. Click HELP. A dialog box appears.

ii. Complete the information about the school.

iii. Click Submit.

Note: The preferred method for adding a program or product in Holt McDougal Online is the new activating products feature. See Activate Products for details.

a. Click the Program Management button. The Add New Program page appears displaying a list of your current programs.

Important: Once you add products to your account, they cannot be removed. However, products can be removed from classes. See Edit Classes for details.

If you must have products removed from your account, contact Technical Support.

b. Add a program by typing an ISBN or Holt Key Code in the box provided and then clicking Next. The ISBN window appears.

c. If necessary, retype the ISBN or key code and click Submit. The Registration Confirmation page appears.
