Reset Student User Names or Passwords

Students are given their ThinkCentral credentials by their teacher when the student accounts are created. If a student forgets or does not know his or her user name or password, then follow the instructions below.

To obtain student credentials:

    Refer to the following table.

User name

      Look up the student's user name by finding the student account. (See Find Student Accounts for details.) 

      Look up the user names for an entire class, by finding a class roster. (See Find Classes and Export Rosters for details.)

Passwords

      If passwords are district-managed, then contact the administrator in charge of passwords and have the password redistributed to the student.

      If passwords are not district-managed, then do one of the following:

      Edit passwords (one at a time) on the Edit User page and provide the new password to the student. (See Edit Student Accounts for details or view the following quick reference guide.)

      Reset the passwords of one or more students in a class to temporary passwords and then allow the students to create their own passwords. (See Allow Students to Create Passwords for details or view the following quick reference guide.)
